Alternating Nostril Breathing

Hello everyone, I hope your Gemini season is going well so far.

In honor of the sun in Gemini, I just wanted to share a simple technique to balance the left and right sides of your mind and spirit.

It is called alternating nostril breathing!

  1. Using your right hand, place your thumb over your right nostril, your index and middle fingers on your third eye, and your ring finger over your left nostril.
  2. Take a few deep breaths through your nose with both nostrils.
  3. Plugging your left nostril, breath in through the right nostril for 10 seconds.
  4. Plugging both nostrils, hold the breath for 10 seconds.
  5. Plugging your right nostril with your thumb, exhale through your left nostril for 10 seconds.
  6. Inhale through the left.
  7. Now plug both nostrils and hold.
  8. Release your right nostril and exhale through the right nostril.
  9. Now inhale through the right, hold, and exhale through the left.
  10. Repeat.

Keep this cycle going for as long as you wish, maintaining your awareness on the breath.
